Abundance of seafood in baja

Flanked by the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez, it's not a hard task to find delicious seafood. Huge fish tacos could cost as little as a dollar and many evenings we'd go to the Pescaderia to buy dinner and discover what the day's catch had been.

Dinner looked like this almost every night. Fresh fish, salad and either a Pacifico or Modelo. This evening I had made a mango salsa - not to brag but it was excellent ;-)

Driving down Baja, we went to a lot of places that looked like this. The owner of this shop/restaurant whipped us up a cup of instant coffee which was all we needed for our early morning driving.

Probably one of our favorite places we stopped. The man pictured here in his family owned business loved puzzles and kept giving Cameron and I brain twisters to solve while our food cooked. Cameron flew through them, I wasn't nearly as quick!

Tengo pesos, tiene pescado. And with those words, fisherman Don Chuy gave us free fish our first night in Mexico.

Walked up to this small eatery and had some tacos camarones. Cameron also met a puppy-friend we were sad to leave although the owner called out to us to take the dog if we wanted!
