If you're reading this today, Jacqui and I are currently packing the PennyWagon to hit the road to explore the great unknown that lays South of Isla de Piedra. For this occasion, I feel some reflection is necessary, after all we’re not the dreamy-eyed, head-in-the-sky, no-regard-for-danger or perils type; to us there is significance in moving past this very familiar milestone in the road.

If you're going to read children's books in Spanish, you have to sit at the kid's table.
Finally leaving Baja and boarding another Mazatlan-bound ferry, Jacqui and I couldn’t help but feel excited and reflective. We’ve done this entire journey once before, even this boat ride, but still it feels like such a different experience. Last time we were sailing into the unknown. First night in the Westy in Mexico.
Rush, rush, rush was the name of the game in the days leading up to crossing the border. Packing, shopping, insurance, bedding, snacks and route planning were all still in the air. On top of all that, we had to accommodate the schedule of our friends Julien and Tu who were going to accompany us on the journey to Mazatlan. This bomb run to Mexico was serving as a fun chance to show them where we’ve been living for the past two months.
